The name Ewart comes from a road in Forest Hill and was fromed about 1945.
Those who know about Ewart CC will know that a lot of famous people come from here.

STAN CRITCHLOW: All round cricketer plus can be called on to wicket keep. Stan in the man that introduced me (Leon) to the game.

DAVE FULCHER: Left arm opening bowler and can hold his bat at number eleven.

COLIN KELLY: Opening fast bowler that hits the deck hard. Handy with the bat at no. 8.

COLIN NEEVES: Opeming right hand batsman very very reliable, hardly fails to score less than 50 an innings. Good slip fielder.

WILL HARRIOT: Right hand batsman and right arm bowler hist the ball very hard although not much foot movement. In his day he was a good slip fielder. Later on became captain of the team. batting at number 4/5.
